Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Tiger Moth (Pirat airship)

45.30

The model shows Dola’s pirate airship ‘Tiger Moth’ on board which Sheeta and Pazu reached Laputa.  This Tiger Moth was used in the first widely known film from Hayao Miyazaki’s. Castle in the Sky was influenced by Johnathan’s Swift’s novel ‘Gulliver’s Travels’. The name of the airship comes from de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth which was a 1930’s biplane widely used as a training airplane. Before and during World War II it was the entry airplane for all Hurricane and Spitfire pilots. This kit was reviewed for us by Stanely’s Workshop & Dostal Scale Models.
